Let us be very honest. We are all a little envious of those who have beautiful long hair. Anybody can maintain a short bob cut or any other short haircut. However, long hair is harder to maintain, or so we think. In reality, unlike short hair, long layered haircuts suits all kind of facial shapes and can be maintained with the same amount of care that goes into short hair.

For long hair haircut with layers give the face a soft and feminine look. We often think of long layered hairs as a specific single style. In reality, the long layered haircuts come in many styles like the long face framing layers, choppy layers, layers with blunt bangs, layers with side-swept bangs, curly long layers, layered bobs etc. Depending on the shape of the face, you can choose any type of layered haircuts that suit you.

Hairstylists categorize faces into eight basic shapes and apply the long layered haircuts accordingly. Hairstylists suggest long hair, with layers at short intervals and bangs and a side part. With this face shape though hair shouldn't be cut too short or too long.

Faces with narrow forehead and wide chin are labeled pear-shaped. Opposite of the heart shaped face, women with pear shaped face need to add width to their forehead and hide the wideness of their chin. Get long layered haircuts that leave you with layers falling along the chin. Brush hair off the forehead and wear it loosely to give some volume on top and around the forehead.

Diamonds may be a girl's best friend, but a diamond shaped face can also shine the same way with the right long layered haircuts. Wear long layered hair brushed away from forehead or loose around the top to give width to it. Layers should fall in wisps around the wide chin to hide its width.

Women with square faces often want to take away the edges and bring some roundness to it. Long layered haircuts with wispy medium bangs falling around the jaw line usually add that softness and feminine curve to the face. Layers should not be allowed to grow chin length or longer in this case.
